Resumen : After a century of teaching Sociology in El Salvador, the most important lesson we can rescue is that we need to revalue its nature in the way it is a science which knows the social from the consciousness oi the social, premise beginning from which the Sociology, particularly, not only has to limit to propose or defend solutions with a multidisciplinary perspective but also has to be itself the solution the so cial matters. Revalue the nature of the Sociology in this sense, if it is well known that the quality of life and situation oi the population which insists in reproduce it in the ballot boxes in a weird act of masochism, is worse day after day (This is attested for the different social, disputes in the last years). Considered it in this way, comes up the temptation to see the intelligible sociology as homesickness from the far away proximity of the memor.
